On June 24, BBT hosted its now-famous Open House. Starting at 3:00 p.m., hundreds of VW fans from all over the world gathered at the industrial park near BBT. The highlight was a visit to “Bob’s Garage”—what a magnificent collection! Unfortunately (but understandably), photography was not allowed inside. Guided tours were offered showing the many, many parts that have been collected over the years.
Outside, the cars belonging to the Central Jersey Volkswagen Society and the Filthy Buggers were on display. The cars had been shipped from the United States to Antwerp in the weeks leading up to the meet.
At the end of the evening, most of the cars left the site, only to return the next morning for one of the most impressive air-cooled convoys in the world, to Hessisch Oldendorf 2026.
