On October 25, we attended the AirMighty Swap Meet at Hangar 11, located on the grounds of the former Twente Air Base in the Netherlands.
The AirMighty Swap Meet offered a mix of classic Volkswagens, parts hunting, and casual conversation, drawing enthusiasts from across the Netherlands and neighbouring countries.
Visitors spent hours searching through boxes of used components, rare new-old-stock parts, workshop manuals, and vintage accessories. While many items can now be sourced online, the opportunity to inspect parts in person and discuss their history directly with sellers continues to be one of the event’s strongest appeals
Alongside the busy swap meet, visitors also had the opportunity to support a good cause through a special raffle benefiting the Dutch Cancer Foundation. In total € 2806 was raised!
