From August 21 through 23, 2026, it was time once again for our favorite aircooled car show: the 11th International Ionian VolksFest Kefalonia in Greece. This time, the event was once again held in Sami, on the eastern side of the island.
We combined this with our annual summer vacation. On August 17, we flew from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Kefalonia. The first few days were all about enjoying this beautiful Greek island with the family.
After spending a couple of days visiting various sites and beaches at the island it was time for the VolksFest.
Preparty:
On the evening of August 20, there was a get-together at Camping Karavomilos Beach to catch up with friends from all over Europe while enjoying a drink and some food.
Day 1: Registration of the participants and party at the camping.
Friday was the big day—the event officially kicked off. Starting at 12:00 p.m., all participants gathered at Camping Karavomilos Beach to register.
This year’s event once again featured participants from all over the world, including:
– Greece
– Serbia
– Croatia
– Hungary
– Bulgaria
– Cyprus
– Netherlands
– United Kingdom
– Slovenia
– United States
– Poland
– Albania
– North Macedonia
– Italy
– Switzerland
The afternoon was filled with swimming, games, and catching up with the many friends who were participating.
In the evening, the pop-up rock group “Gen-Z The Band” performed some great songs and our friend Charis presented the VolksFest Soundtrack.
