Saturday February 28, 2026: The Drive!

9:00 AM. Everyone: VWs should arrive and park around the San Antonio town square across from the historic St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. For your GPS enter 32808 Massachusetts Ave, San Antonio, FL 33576. Use this time to check out the VWs, take photos, and meet new & old friends. Please back your VW into the parking spaces because it will make starting our drive easier. To make room for everyone, please park close together and try to get three VWs into two spaces.

9:45 AM. Driver’s Meeting: The details of the drive and picnic will be explained.
If you want to stay connected during the drive, download the Zello walkie Talkie App and add the Trail of the Wagens 2 channel so you can stay in communication with us! Password is “trail.” (no quotes)
SWAG! Don’t forget to get your limited-edition Trail of the Wagens 8 items.
NOTE: This is your last chance to use the restroom before we begin the drive. Occasionally the park locks the public restrooms. Think about this in advance just in case.

10:15 AM. Begin the Trail Of the Wagens drive! Depending on the number of VWs, we might break into two groups. We will pull up to the stop Curley Road sign, and I’ll roll by taking videos and pictures of all the cars. Then we will roll out.

12:00 PM. (approximate) Arrive at the Pioneer Village Museum in Dade City.
This park has some great historic buildings and a museum to explore. Picnic tables will be provided so we can have lunch (No grills are on property and there is no place to buy food)) Admission to the museum is as follows: Standard $12, Senior $10, and teacher/student $6. You are welcome to hang for as long as you’d like.
