Join us for our Inaugural Air-cooled Covered Bridge Cruise. This vintage VW car cruise will wind through the picturesque Bucks County PA countryside, with 8 Historic covered bridges along the route. Any Air-cooled , Bug, Bus, Buggy, Thing, Ghia, and Porsche are welcome. Coffee/Bagels/Donuts will be provided at the morning meet-up. Please arrive with a full tank of gas and a mechanically capable vehicle. The cruise will start promptly at 10:00am The cruise itself will cover 63 miles of mainly paved back-road cruising, with short sections of 50-55mph zones. We will start/end at the Lake Nockamixon – Tohickon Boat Launch parking area. The cruise will drive through 8 historic covered bridges with stops at several to allow for photos. (Some bridges have very limited space for any kind of parking.) The 63 miles should take roughly 2 1/2 hours to complete with a few stops along the way. If enough interest is shown I would like to have a professional photographer come along for pictures at 2 of the bridges and a final photo at the Lake Nockamixon fishing pier.
